Summer is here and the heat is on!

It’s the perfect season for cold coffee drinks, and nothing does it better than tried and true cold brew. Here at Ahroma, the staff favorite is easily our Fogborn blend. It’s both a light and dark roast blend from derived from the coffee beans of seven different countries. You won’t find a more delicious or versatile roast!

Cold brew coffee is typically made by steeping coffee grounds in cold water over an extended period of time. The result is a smooth, flavorful coffee that can be enjoyed iced or hot! Here’s a few ways to make your own cold brew coffee at home:

First option: think “tea bag.” Just put your Foghorn coffee in a tea bag or directly into pure water, let steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours. Strain off the coffee in a fine mesh strainer and chill, using it as you would cold espresso. Add a milk and sweetener of your choice.

Here’s another option, which also so simple! Brew that nice strong pot of Foghorn in the morning, and pour into a cup over ice. Add a dose of cream, milk, or milk substitute, add some Italian syrup or Stevia and you’ve got a cold brew at a fraction of the cost of your local coffee spot.

There are many more options, and we encourage you to experiment with these recipes to create something all your own!
